It was in April 2016 that we opened our doors to the youth of Aberdare for the first time. Since then we have gone from strength to strength with some weeks over 60 kids being in attendance. Glory to God. When we started our vision for the youth work, God clearly told us to just open the doors and start relating to the community and the kids. We are blessed to see so many kids being taken off the street and our aim is to show them the love of Jesus and to see so many kids enjoying themselves in a safe, warm and happy environment.
The club runs from 6.45pm to 8.00pm for children of school years 7 to 11 every Friday in term time and we enjoy all sorts of activities like table tennis, Xbox, Wii, Snooker, Crafts and table top games. We also run a tuck shop which has proved extremely popular!
Our vision for the future is to continue to show the love of Jesus, tell them of God’s love for them and how that love can make all the difference in our lives and community.
We are also so blessed to have such a great team of workers/helpers who constantly give of their time to be there every Friday night to be part of this important ministry. Thank you to everyone who helps, you are very much appreciated.
