Having been involved in Christian Ministry for the past 50 years or more, I am now responsible for leading the Ministry Team at Oasis Community Church. Married to Mary for 49 years, we have 3 sons, and 6 grandchildren and have been privileged and blessed to experience the faithfulness and favour of the Lord in our lives during those years.
Since 2015, the Lord has led us to pioneer a new Non Denominational Christian Fellowship in Trecynon, Aberdare and we have been so encouraged to see the growth and development of that work over the past two and a half years.
In a society that is hurting and so damaged by personal and painful experiences, it has been both a challenge and an encouragement to work in an environment with other Christians to find a place of healing and restoration and wholeness that is promised to us through new Life in Jesus Christ. I am praying and believing for a society that can experience the satisfaction and fulfilment that Jesus Christ promises to those who follow Him.
Oasis Community Church seeks to be a modern contemporary and relevant Church for the social environment of the Community that surrounds us. With outreach ministries that cover every age grouping, we are so blessed to see the lives of many people changed and transformed by the Power of God’s love which is unconditional to people irrespective of their background or beliefs.
You can be sure, that in Oasis Community Church, you will find a very open and welcoming environment in which personal faith is expressed and I would encourage you to visit us and share in the incredible things that God is doing in the lives of ordinary people.

Cath and I were married more than 30 years ago and throughout that time, we have been so thankful for the privilege of serving God in various churches in Aberdare. We are also very grateful to the Lord that by His grace, both of our children are also actively involved in His work here at Oasis.
Cath is a clerical officer in the National Health Service and I’m an IT manager for a company whose UK office is located in Cardiff.
Working for the Lord at Oasis Community Church has been the best experience of our lives and we have seen incredible growth and God has transformed so many lives. Cath is responsible for heading up the under-5s children’s work called Oasis Tots. I am involved in the Worship team and have some teaching responsibilities also.
When Oasis was formed in October 2015, the banner over the entrance read ‘Blessed Beyond Measure’. That was prophetic because we have experienced God’s blessing in every area of our lives. My prayer is that God continues to bless as we are careful to listen to His voice and to His leading.
My name is James Richards and am married to Claire for 18 years. We have been blessed with two beautiful children Amelia and Cameron who currently attend St John Church in Wales High school. I work as a funeral director with Richards Funeral Services and it has been a blessing to be able to help so many people over the years through difficult times.
It is also a massive privilege to be able to serve God within Oasis Community Church as part of the leadership team as we seek to serve our community in many different ways and to show God’s Love for them.
Away from work and church life, I love to spend time with my children, keeping fit and watching various sports.
My Name is Nathan Parmee and I am 21 years old. It may seem young to be part of the leadership team at Oasis but I am extremely grateful and blessed that my youth has not affected God’s call upon my life.
I discovered God’s grace three years ago when I found my salvation in Jesus Christ and since then I have been on a wonderful journey with God who has grown, challenged and stretched me in so many ways.
I am currently in full time employment at as a funeral operative and I am also studying to gain my embalming qualification. At work I have to deal with death on a daily basis but in my ministry at Oasis I feel so blessed that I also have the opportunity to deal with life on a daily basis, true life in Jesus Christ.
We are a modern church at which God has blessed with a relevant vision and facilities but more importantly God has given us all a capacity to truly love and help people while standing in line with biblical truths.
